TAVERNA MAGICA
An evening in a historical cellar vault, during which you and your guests will not only be treated to
culinary enjoyment but also will be face to face – in the truest sense of the phrase – with the Middle Ages.
During this evening, your guests will be introduced little by little to daily life in the 15th century.
Thus, your meal will be served by ‘authentic’ tavern maids , actors in historical costumes are active among the guests and let them take part.
A ‘herb woman’, for example, will sneak about and try to sell various tinctures
and salves with manifold wondrous effects, a dextrous gambler will play with the guests for coppers, and when the gamester finally commits a theft, your guests
will become witnesses who must answer the questions of the watch.
During the evening meal, the historically proper musical entertainment will
naturally be heard. Entertainers will keep everyone amused throughout the evening with witty remarks, songs, and dance music. The court music of the troubadours is varied with the earthy songs of the taverns….
